Important Information

If this is an international trip, it is very important for you to check your passport(s) before we begin any planning. For most destinations in the world, you are required to have a minimum of 6 months validity remaining on your passport beyond the last day you intend to be outside the USA.  This is a good idea even if you are not traveling to an area that requires it, in the event your flight or cruise is diverted.

Other important considerations:  

You need to be aware that certain felony convictions will prohibit you from crossing some borders, including into Canada and in some cases Mexico. Please take this into consideration when planning travel to or transiting through countries.  In general, if you have a criminal record, you won’t be allowed to enter most countries where you’re required to obtain a visa prior.  Please speak with a legal professional for guidance regarding your specific situation and your ability to travel. 

As of May 3, 2023, all U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. Please visit your local DMV for more information.

Travel Insurance

Largay Travel and its affiliates strongly recommend that travelers purchase travel protection/insurance. Largay Travel and its affiliates offer travel protection/insurance as an additional product but advise that such insurance is NOT automatically included in the cost of an itinerary and must be purchased. 

Travel insurance can protect against some or all of the following types of problems: third-party default or bankruptcy, delay, trip interruption, trip cancellation, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation/repatriation, baggage loss, baggage delay, and/or travel assistance. While no one travel insurance policy can cover all circumstances, Largay Travel and its affiliates do offer its clients access to several reputable travel insurance companies, whose premiums, coverages, exclusions and deductibles are frequently different. Please read all travel insurance policies carefully, and if you have any questions, please call the travel insurance company for clarification since they have the final word on what is covered by a claim and what is not.

Important note: You are advised that travel insurance/protection must usually be purchased within a certain number of days from when the deposit is paid in order to avoid waiving coverage for pre-existing conditions and/or supplier default. The timeframe is imposed by the travel insurance company and is typically 7 to 21 days from the date of deposit.

Cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and tour operators all charge high penalties for cancellation, ranging from the full deposit to no refund at all. And, keep in mind that most health insurance policies will not cover you when you are out of the country. Travel insurance can protect you in the event of Trip Cancellation, Trip Delay, Trip Interruption, Missed Connection, Baggage Loss, Theft or Damage, Baggage Delay, Emergency Medical and Dental Expenses, and Emergency Medical Transportation, among other unforeseen circumstances. 

Please understand that we are not registered insurance agents and cannot legally provide specific advice or information regarding insurance. We will gladly secure a quote for you upon request, and if we are not legally able to secure coverage on your behalf, it is our strong recommendation that you purchase a policy on your own.

Submitting this signed document acknowledges that you have been made aware of the importance of having travel insurance and that the ultimate decision whether to purchase travel insurance is left to your discretion and preference. If you choose to forego the purchase of travel insurance, you and your traveling companions assume full responsibility and release Largay Travel Inc., its affiliates, and its partners from all unforeseen expenses that may result from emergency medical care, baggage delay or loss, trip cancellation and/or trip interruption.
